Oat Slice


  • 1 cup oats
  • 2⁄3 cup wholemeal plain flour (or white, gluten free etc)
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup dried fruit (sultanas chopped apricots, craisins etc)
  • ¼ cup butter (or Nuttelex/coconut oil)
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence/extract/paste
  • ½ tsp bi carb soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder

How To Make

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C
  2. Melt butter in microwave or pot on stove
  3. Add all ingredients to a large bowl
  4. Mix with a spoon/spatula until well combined (mixture will be crumbly)
  5. Pour into a square baking pan and press down with the back of a metal spoon until tightly packed
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until edges are browned
  7. Cool completely and cut into squares or muesli bar size.
